Yes. EcoSense uses living Bacillus microbes and aerobic decomposition — not just drying or grinding — to break food waste down into real, nutrient-rich compost, with up to 90% volume reduction in about 24 hours. For garden use, cure the finished compost for 3–4 weeks in a cool, dry place for the best nutrient availability.
Will it smell?
No. A triple-layer filtration system — an organic additive that stops odour-causing bacteria, a mesh filter, and an activated carbon filter — eliminates unpleasant smells completely.
What can I compost, and what should I avoid?
You can add fruits, vegetables, meat, egg, coffee grounds and fish. Avoid large bones, hard pits (like avocado), shells (oyster, clam), plastics and packaging, and any non-organic materials.
How long does it take, and do I wait between cycles?
No waiting — add scraps continuously through the day. Partial decomposition begins within about an hour, the material darkens by around three hours, and it’s converted to finished compost in as little as 24 hours.
How often do I empty it?
Every 1–3 months. Leave about one-third of the contents inside each time to keep the microbe colony active and ready for the next batch.
Is it quiet, and how much power does it use?
